It all started with a fireplace we couldn’t find.

In 2012, we were a young couple living in rural Indiana, dreaming of a modern fireplace to complete our first home. The nearest store was an hour and a half away, and everything they offered was traditional, overpriced, and far from the clean, contemporary style we loved.

Online shopping didn’t make things easier. Most websites had vague descriptions, tiny photos, and no real support. We couldn’t find a single place that made buying a modern, ventless fireplace simple or affordable. That frustration became our spark.

From that experience, Modern Blaze was born: a family-owned business built on the belief that everyone, no matter where they live, deserves access to safe, stylish, and sustainable fire features.
