Our built-in fireplace collection offers a sophisticated and contemporary solution to bring warmth and style into your home or office. Perfectly blending functionality with aesthetic appeal, these fireplaces are designed to be seamlessly integrated into your wall, providing a sleek and flush finish that enhances the look and style of any space. Whether you're considering an upgrade to your current fireplace setup or embarking on a new installation, our built-in fireplaces provide the versatility, efficiency, and beauty you're looking for.

What Does a Built-in Fireplace Mean? A built-in fireplace is designed to be mounted into a wall, sitting flush with the surface for a streamlined look. Unlike traditional fireplaces that protrude into the room, built-in models offer a space-saving solution that contributes to a minimalist and tidy aesthetic. This type of installation not only saves valuable floor space but also becomes an integral part of your room's design, adding a touch of luxury and sophistication.

Please note: Built-in fireplaces installed in the wall can also be called "Recessed" or "flush mounted".  These fireplaces are designed to be installed into a niche in a wall.

!! Not to be confused with wall-mounted or "wall mount" fireplaces that hang on top of the wall surface instead. Learn more about wall mounted fireplaces here: Wall Mounted Fireplaces

Some built-in fireplace models can also be installed as wall mounted. This information can be found in product descriptions under "Features".

How to Install a Built-in Fireplace The installation process for a built-in fireplace can vary depending on the type – electric, gas, ethanol, or water vapor – and the specifics of your wall, such as whether it’s a standard 2x4 or 2x6 wall. Generally, it involves creating a cut-out in your wall that matches the dimensions of the fireplace unit.

3 Installation Options Of Bult-in Fireplaces

1. Cut an opening in the existing wall and insert the fireplace there.

This installation option is possible if the fireplace is slim enough to fit inside of the existing wall depth. Most electric and ethanol fireplaces can fit inside 2" x 6" walls and some slim models can even be recessed into 2" x 4" walls. You can use our filters to choose the depth that works for you.

2. Build a bump-out on an existing wall and insert the fireplace there.

This is a popular option because it allows for installation on outside walls and can accommodate deeper electric fireplace models including popular electric inserts, as well as water vapor fireplaces and ventless gas fireplaces.

3. Insert the fireplace into a cabinet or custom shelving.

This option mostly applies to electric and water vapor fireplaces because they don't have any restrictions when it comes to clearances to combustible materials like wood. We have seen customers installing ethanol fireplaces into cabinetry as well but they had to use special fireproof materials for those cabinets for safety.

Explore our collection of built-in fireplaces to find the perfect blend of style, functionality, and innovation for your space. Whether you’re drawn to the ease and safety of electric models, the traditional appeal of gas, the eco-conscious choice of ethanol, or the innovative technology of water vapor fireplaces, our selection is designed to meet your needs and exceed your expectations, transforming any room into a cozy, inviting haven.

If you know what type of in-wall fireplace you want - electric, water vapor, ethanol, or gas - you can filter this collection by product type and keep narrowing it down from there.
