Sierra Flame Fireplaces

Sierra Flame electric fireplaces are made by Amantii and run on household power, with no chimney, vent or gas line and a flame that works with or without the heater. The range spans linear units that hang on a wall or recess nearly flush, inserts that convert an existing wood-burning fireplace, and a cast iron freestanding stove.

Sierra Flame Electric Fireplaces, Made by Amantii

Sierra Flame is one of Amantii's fireplace brands, and every model on this page is electric. None of them needs a chimney, a vent or a gas line. Each runs on ordinary 120-volt household power. The flame works with the heater on or off, so the fireplace is as useful on a summer evening as on a cold night.

Three Forms: Wall Unit, Fireplace Insert and Stove

Sierra Flame builds the same idea three ways. Pick the form by where the fire has to go.

    • Linear wall units. The WM-FML linear series, such as the Sierra Flame WM-FML-34-4023-STL, hangs on the wall with the brackets in the box. It can also recess into a framed opening so the steel face sits nearly flush. Heat leaves through a slot in the face below the glass, which is what lets it sit that close to the wall. It ships with clear fire glass rather than a log set.
    • Fireplace inserts. The INS-FM-30 and INS-FM-34 slide into the firebox of an existing wood-burning fireplace, masonry or metal, and a black steel surround covers the old opening. They plug in, or an electrician can hardwire them. Neither has Wi-Fi: they run from the remote and the panel on the unit.
    • A cast iron stove. The Sierra Flame cast iron freestanding electric stove, which Amantii calls the Lynwood, has a cast iron top, sides and front and stands on four legs. It plugs into a wall outlet and needs nothing built around it, so it can go in a corner or move with you.

A Recessed Linear Install Needs More Than a 2x4 Wall

Recessing a WM-FML unit takes an opening six and a half inches deep. A standard 2x4 stud wall gives you three and a half, so most built-in installs mean framing the wall out first. Hanging the same unit on the surface avoids that, which suits apartments and rooms where you would rather not open a wall.

An insert has the opposite constraint: it has to fit the firebox you already have. Measure the opening before you choose a size, and close the chimney damper before the insert goes in so cold air does not leak past it.

Every Model Is Supplemental Heat, Not a Furnace

The linear units and the inserts share the same heater: 5,000 BTU on a high and a low setting, rated for rooms up to 500 square feet. That takes the chill off a living room or bedroom, but it will not replace central heat. The cast iron stove blows its warm air out of a vent below the firebox, so the heat reaches you at floor level first. Every model here is for indoor use only.

Check Each Model's Availability Before You Plan

Sierra Flame sizes come and go with Amantii's production, and some can be sold out or unavailable at any given time. Each product page shows whether that model can be ordered today. If the size or form you need is not showing, ask us what Amantii can supply.

Frequently Asked Questions about Sierra Flame Fireplaces

    Who makes Sierra Flame fireplaces?

Amantii. Sierra Flame is one of Amantii's fireplace brands, and Amantii's own product data, manuals and price lists cover the Sierra Flame electric models. Sierra Flame also makes gas fireplaces, but the models on this page are all electric.

How much heat does a Sierra Flame electric fireplace put out?

The WM-FML linear units and the INS-FM inserts are rated at 5,000 BTU on 120 volts, for rooms up to 500 square feet. Both have a high and a low heat setting. That is supplemental heat: it warms one room, it does not replace a furnace. The flame also runs with the heater off. For the cast iron stove, check its product page for its own heat rating.

Can a Sierra Flame linear fireplace be recessed into a 2x4 wall?

Not without building the wall out. Recessing a WM-FML unit takes an opening six and a half inches deep, and a 2x4 wall gives three and a half. The alternative is to hang it on the wall surface with the brackets that come in the box, which needs no framing at all.

    Is the Sierra Flame INS-FM-34 a 34-inch or a 42-inch insert?

It is a 34-inch insert. The 42-inch figure is the width of its black steel surround, which covers the old fireplace opening. Measure your firebox opening against the insert itself, and the surround against the wall around it. The INS-FM-30 is the smaller insert in the same series.

Do Sierra Flame electric fireplace inserts have Wi-Fi?

No. The INS-FM-30 and INS-FM-34 run from their remote and the control panel on the unit, and Amantii lists no Wi-Fi for either. Amantii shows Wi-Fi only on the Lumina versions of these inserts.

What warranty comes with a Sierra Flame electric fireplace?

Amantii lists a 2-year warranty for the WM-FML linear units and the INS-FM inserts, and both are CSA Certified. Check the cast iron stove's product page for its own warranty terms.
