Eight Output Steps, Mounted as High as 25 Feet

A gas-fired low-intensity infrared tube heater from Roberts-Gordon, built for the buildings that are hardest to heat: warehouses, distribution floors, manufacturing space, aircraft hangars, loading docks and vehicle service bays. It also serves a large covered patio well.

Eight outputs, 40,000 to 150,000 BTU. That is a finer ladder than most tube heaters offer, and it matters when you are matching output to a building rather than rounding up. The steps run 40, 60, 80, 100, 115, 125, 140 and 150 thousand BTU, in tube lengths from 10 ft 11 in to 40 ft 11 in.

It mounts higher than the NHE. Recommended mounting height runs from 8 to 10 ft on the smallest unit up to 20 to 25 ft on the largest, against a 20 ft ceiling on the comparable NHE straight tube. In a tall warehouse or a hangar, that extra reach is the deciding difference.

Infrared heat radiates onto the floor, the racking and the people, rather than warming air that would rise straight to a 25 ft ceiling and sit there. In a high-bay building that is not a refinement, it is the whole reason this equipment exists.

Need the same heat in less length? The U-Tube version folds the run roughly in half, 12 ft 6 in to 22 ft 6 in for the same outputs.

Vented or unvented. Unvented outdoors and under open cover. Indoors, vent it through a 4 in flue or supply ventilation air at the code minimum of 4 CFM per 1,000 BTU/hr.

Roberts-Gordon publishes no square-foot rating. These are sized by heat loss calculation against your building and mounting height, and we can help you work it through.
