Required for an Aurora Grill in a Combustible Island

Fire Magic's Aurora manuals are direct about this: if the grill goes into a combustible enclosure, the correct insulating liner must be used. The liner lets a built-in Fire Magic grill go into a wood, composite or other combustible enclosure as long as the countertop is non-combustible. It is 304 stainless steel, comes pre-assembled, and hangs from the countertop on its own hangers, so no extra support is needed underneath.
Choose the Liner for Your Appliance
- 23130-52 for the Aurora A430i
- 23150-52 for the Aurora A540i
- 3176-52 for the Aurora A660i
- 3186-52 for the Aurora A790i
- 3278-52 for the Aurora Power Burner
Fire Magic's Aurora combo manual does not list an insulating liner for the A830i, so that grill is not offered here.
Cut the Opening for the Liner, Not the Grill
The liner changes the cut-out. Fire Magic's liner instructions give the countertop cut-out for each liner: 12 1/4" from countertop to unit bottom on every grill liner, with side to side widths of 30 3/8" (A430i), 37" (A540i), 36 1/4" (A660i) and 42" (A790i). Use the instructions linked on this page for the full table, substrate and overhang details before you build.
