A Compact Three-Sided Electric Fireplace for the Wall

The Amantii TRU-VIEW Cube is a small electric fireplace with glass on the front and both sides, built as a box rather than a unit that disappears into the wall. It hangs on a wall with the included hardware or stands on an optional base. At about 20 inches wide it suits rooms where a long linear fireplace would be too much, and the flame runs with or without heat, so it gets used all year.

Hang It on the Wall or Stand It on Its Base

Out of the box, the Cube is a wall-mount fireplace, and the mounting hardware comes with it. Add the Amantii base for the Cube and it becomes freestanding, about 7 1/4 inches higher. It weighs about 48.5 pounds, so fix the hanger firmly enough to carry that weight, and check with a builder if you are unsure what your wall is made of. Keep it at least 3 feet from curtains, furniture and bedding, and if a mantel goes above it, leave at least 6 inches between the mantel and the front glass. Because the sides are glass, place it where both ends stay visible, not tucked into a corner.

A 15-Inch-Tall Flame Window, Seen from Three Sides

The front glass is roughly 15 3/8 inches tall and 16 1/2 inches wide, and the side glass lets you see the fire from almost any angle. The flames mix yellow, orange and red in three speeds and six brightness levels, and the ember bed and mood light have their own brightness setting, so you can keep a natural orange flame while changing the glow on the media.

About 5,000 BTU, a Timer and App Control in a 20-Inch Box

On high the heater puts out about 5,000 BTU from a standard 120V outlet, enough to take the chill off a room. A sleep timer shuts it off after 30 minutes to 8 hours, and the 7-day timer on the remote can switch it on and off on a schedule, holding the temperature you set. Control it from the touch panel on the unit, the included remote, or the Tuya Smart Life app over Wi-Fi.

Best for Bedrooms, Offices and Small Covered Patios

The Cube fits where space is short: a bedroom, a home office, a condo living room, or a small covered patio. If you want a fireplace that anchors a large wall, the larger Amantii TRU-VIEW fireplaces run from 30 to 88 inches wide.

Plan the Cord, the Wall and the Overhang First

• Power: plug it into a 15-amp outlet. The cord exits the left side and is about 70 7/8 inches long. On a wall mount, put the outlet where the cord can reach it neatly, or have a qualified electrician hardwire it so no cord shows.
• Outdoors: only the wall-mounted Cube is approved for outdoor use. The leg base and speaker base are for indoors. Outside, it needs an overhang that reaches out at least half the roof-line height, in front and on each side, so an 8-foot roof line needs a 4-foot overhang. Warm air drifts away quickly outdoors, so treat it as a fire feature first and a heater second.
