The Fire Magic wind deflector is a stainless steel shield that clips onto the rear of the oven lid. Fire Magic's Aurora built-in grill manual recommends it when the grill sits where wind blows across it, because it helps the grill perform properly in windy conditions. It installs once, by hand, and stays on permanently.

Choose the Deflector Sized for Your Grill

Fire Magic makes the deflector in three widths for the Aurora line. Pick the option that names your grill:

23728-19 fits the Aurora A430i and the Aurora A830i (gas side)
23732-20 fits the Aurora A540i and the Aurora A660i
23745-20 fits the Aurora A790i

For Grills With Vertical Lids

Fire Magic's instructions state that this deflector is only for grills with a vertical lid, which the current Aurora built-ins have. Check your lid against the illustration in the instructions before you order. It slides onto the oven lid centered left to right so it clears the lid-stop brackets when the lid opens, and the bracket tabs click to lock it in place.
