Description

Turn an Aurora Built-In Grill Into a Cart Grill

Fire Magic's portable cart grill base takes a built-in grill and puts it on locking casters, with storage underneath and shelves on both sides. Fire Magic lists the 660-SC24 for the Aurora A660i and the 790-SC24 for the Aurora A790i, both for 2024 models to current. The 660-SC24 also takes the Fire Magic A660i and E660i gourmet griddles and the 4600 and 5660 pizza ovens.

Sizes

Per Fire Magic's manual, both bases stand 37 1/2" from the floor to the top of the shelf and measure 27" front to back. The 660-SC24 is 34 1/8" wide as a cart and 64 1/4" with both shelves up. The 790-SC24 is 39 3/4" wide as a cart and 70" with both shelves up.

Plan the Gas and Power

Gas hoses are sold separately: Fire Magic specifies the 5110-15 two-stage regulator hose for a propane tank and the 5110-03 10-foot quick disconnect hose for natural gas or remote propane. A sliding tank tray (24336-36) is optional for easier tank access. All three are on our Fire Magic Cart Base Gas Hoses and Sliding Tank Tray page. The grill's electrical connection needs a weather-proof, in-use covered GFCI outlet, as Fire Magic's manual describes.

Keep at least 18" of clearance from combustible materials in every direction and keep the cabinet vents clear, per Fire Magic. Protect the setup with a fitted cover from our Fire Magic Covers for Gas Grills range.

Which Fire Magic cart base fits my Aurora grill?

Fire Magic lists the 660-SC24 for the A660i and the 790-SC24 for the A790i, for 2024 models to current. The base does not list the A430i, A540i or A830i.

Will the cart base fit an older Aurora grill?

Fire Magic lists compatibility for 2024 models to current only. Check the date on your grill's rating label before ordering.

Are gas hoses included with the Fire Magic cart base?

No. Fire Magic sells them separately: the 5110-15 two-stage regulator hose for a propane tank, or the 5110-03 10-foot quick disconnect hose for natural gas or remote propane.

Can I store the propane tank in the cart?

Yes. A tank ring holder is included, and Fire Magic offers an optional sliding tank tray, 24336-36, for easier access. Follow the propane cylinder guidelines in your grill's owner's manual.
