A Trim Kit That Covers the Gap Around a Fireplug PRO

The Touchstone Fireplug PRO Trim Kit is a black metal frame that fits around a Fireplug PRO electric insert to cover whatever opening is left over. Old fireplace hearths are rarely the size of a modern insert, so unless the opening happens to match, there is a visible gap on one or more sides. This covers it, and the result reads as built in rather than dropped in.

Pick the Kit by Your Fireplace Size First, Then the Width

Each kit is cut for one Fireplug PRO size, so start there: 24-inch, 29-inch or 33-inch. Then choose how much gap you need to cover. The 2-inch kit adds two inches on each side, the 4-inch kit adds four. A 1-inch standard kit already comes in the box with the fireplace, so these are the two upgrades for a wider opening.

Each Kit Comes With Three Top Pieces

The sides are fixed but the top is not. Every kit includes three different top pieces, so you can take up more height without changing the width. That matters because old hearth openings are rarely square to a modern insert, and the height is usually the dimension that is out.
