Touchstone Sideline Elite 50-Inch Freestanding Electric Fireplace with White Mantel (#90001-80036)

A Smart 50-Inch Fireplace in a White Freestanding Mantel

This is the Touchstone Sideline Elite 50-inch smart electric fireplace supplied inside the Encase surround mantel, as one package. It stands on the floor against a wall, so there is no cutting, no framing and nothing to mount, and it plugs into an ordinary outlet. The mantel is white with classic molding, which is what lets a very modern linear fireplace sit in a room that is not modern.

No Cutting, No Mounting, and You Can Take It With You

Assemble the mantel with the included instructions, drop the fireplace in, secure it with the supplied hardware and plug it in. That is the whole installation. It is the answer for a rental, a plaster or masonry wall nobody wants to open, or a room where you are not ready to commit to a permanent cutout.

Sixty Flame and Ember Combinations, From the App or the Remote

The Sideline Elite gives six flame colors and ten media bed colors, which is sixty combinations, with five intensity settings and three flame speeds. A log set, crystals and driftwood are all included. It is Wi-Fi enabled, so it runs from the mobile app, the included remote or the touchscreen on the unit, and answers to Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Two Heat Settings and a Thermostat From 68 to 88 F

The heater runs at 750 or 1,500 watts, with a thermostat you set between 68 and 88 F or leave on constant. The flame runs independently of it, so the fire works through the summer with the heater off. The glass front stays cool to the touch.

Strap It to the Wall, Even Though It Stands on Its Own

Tip-over restraints come in the box and Touchstone asks that you use them. A freestanding mantel is exactly the piece a child or a dog leans on, and the restraint is a two-screw job that takes a few minutes. Both the fireplace and the mantel carry a one-year warranty.

Best for a Rental, a Bedroom or a Wall You Cannot Open

Pick this over a recessed fireplace when the wall is not yours to cut, when the room is brick or plaster, or when you want the option of taking the fireplace with you. You give up the flush, built-in look and you get an evening's assembly instead of a construction job.
