With a generous 10-inch depth, the Sam provides additional surface space for framed photos, artwork, and carefully selected décor. Its straight architectural lines offer a finished look without making the fireplace wall feel overly ornate.
The profile blends traditional proportions with a simple contemporary shape, making it suitable for transitional, classic, and modern rooms.
Painted Finishes for Light or Contrasting Interiors
Choose White Paint for a bright, understated look or Black Paint for stronger contrast against the surrounding wall. Both finishes arrive painted and ready for installation.
The Sam is available in 60-inch, 72-inch, and 84-inch widths, allowing its proportions to coordinate with different fireplace and wall layouts.
Installation Options
The Sam 671 mounts directly to a suitable wall using the included mitered hanger board. It may be positioned above a compatible fireplace or installed as a decorative shelf in another room.
The shelf does not require venting, electrical wiring, fuel connections, or dedicated fireplace framing. Wall screws, anchors, and structural blocking are not included and must be selected according to the mounting surface.
MDF is combustible. The shelf must be installed according to the fireplace manufacturer’s required mantel clearances, local building codes, and applicable safety requirements.
Controls and Features
The Sam 671 is a decorative shelf and does not contain controls, heating elements, lighting, flame effects, or electrical components.
Its functional details include a 10-inch shelf depth, fully assembled construction, a painted surface, and an included mitered hanger board. An authentic Pearl Mantels inlay is positioned on the shelf.
