Glass on Three Faces, and a Crackle Speaker Behind the Flame

The Touchstone Sideline Infinity PRO is a linear electric fireplace with see-through glass on the front and both sides, so the flame reads from across a room and around a corner rather than head on. It also carries a built-in crackle speaker with adjustable volume, which the base Sideline models do not have. There is no combustion, no venting and no gas line.

Three-Sided, Corner or Front Only, Decided When You Install It

The same fireplace does all three. Set into the end of a wall it shows all three faces. Set into a corner it shows the front and one side, left or right, whichever the room wants. Set into a flat wall it shows the front only. Nothing is ordered differently and nothing is added, so the decision belongs to the framing rather than to the purchase.

It Needs a 9 3/4 Inch Deep Opening, So Plan a Bump-Out or a Media Wall

This is the number that decides whether the project is simple. A 2x6 wall with drywall gives you about 6 inches, and the Infinity PRO needs 9 3/4. It does not drop into a standard wall the way a slimmer Sideline does, so it needs the wall built out deeper, either a bump-out around the fireplace or a full media wall framed for it. The opening is 17 1/2 inches high, about a quarter inch wider than the fireplace, and has to be non-load-bearing. Check the spec sheet for your size before framing.

Wall Mounted, It Still Shows All Three Faces and Needs No Framing

If that wall is not worth building, hang it instead. The Infinity PRO comes with a wall bracket, and surface mounted it still shows all three glass faces with no opening to frame at all. You give up the flush, built-in look and gain back the whole project.

Either way it asks for nothing at the sides or back, 8 inches to a TV, mantel or ceiling, and 6 inches to the floor. It plugs into a 120 volt, 15 amp circuit it does not share, or an electrician can hardwire it. Plan on two people for the lift.

Every Size Heats the Same 400 Square Feet, So Width Buys Flame

All four sizes run the same 1,500 watt heater, rated for roughly 400 square feet. A wider unit gives you a longer fire, not a warmer room. Treat it as supplemental heat that takes the chill off, and remember the flames run on their own with the heater off, so it earns its wall in July as well as January.

Control It From the Touchscreen, the App, or Alexa and Google Home

Six flame colors, five speeds, thirteen ember bed colors and thirteen downlight colors, set from the panel, the remote, the Touchstone app or by voice. The touchscreen dims a few seconds after you set it, so the controls disappear once the fire is lit. The glass stays cool on the front and both sides, which matters more here than on a single-sided fireplace, because a three-sided unit puts glass within reach on three faces.
