The Monessen Solstice is a 33-inch ventless gas fireplace insert designed for LP or natural gas, delivering built-in warmth with an included firebox, logs, and blower.

Designed to Upgrade an Unused Fireplace

The Solstice insert transforms an existing masonry fireplace into a functional heat source without the need for venting. Its vent-free design simplifies installation while maintaining the traditional appearance of a gas log fire.

Choose from multiple interior liner options—including Cinnamon Firebrick, Colonial Red Firebrick, Black Magic Glass Panels, or Black Porcelain Panels—to tailor the look to your space.

Flexible Style and Ignition Options

Select from Beachcomber, Berkley Oak, or Highland Oak log sets for a realistic wood-fire presentation. Small or large black surrounds help cover gaps around the insert for a clean finished appearance.

You can choose between two ignition systems. The Millivolt ignition uses a standing pilot and push-button lighting. The IPI ignition system uses electronic ignition for improved fuel efficiency and push-button startup.

Installation Options

The Monessen Solstice is designed for ventless installation into an existing fireplace opening. Because it is vent-free, no chimney liner or external venting is required, simplifying the upgrade process.

The insert operates on either natural gas or liquid propane. It includes a blower to help circulate heated air into the room. A backup battery system allows operation for up to 48 hours during power outages.

Controls & Features

The standard blower pushes heat out of the firebox to improve room comfort. Optional control upgrades include an on/off remote, touchscreen remote with six-hour timer, or wired wall switch.

For Millivolt ignition systems, an optional thermostat bulb sensor adds temperature-based heat control. Decorative enhancements such as volcanic rocks or flickering embers can be added to personalize the flame presentation.
