What is the difference between W and C series Infratech heaters?
The main difference between the W (WD) and C (CD) series is their shape and the mounting bracket that comes with them which affects installation options:
- C (CD) heaters have inset (hidden) brackets, C-shaped body and only 2.5" depth - perfect for wall or ceiling mount applications.
- W (WD) series heaters mounting brackets at each end, W-shaped body and 3" depth - Ideal for flush-mount applications.

What is the difference between C/W and CD/WD series Infratech heaters?
C/W series heaters have one heating element and CD/WD series heaters have two. D stands for "dual". Dual element heaters produce more intense, concentrated heat and can be installed higher than single element heaters. Mounting heights are: 7-12 feet for dual vs 6-10 feet for single element heaters.
Which Infratech heaters can be flush mounted?
C/CD and W/WD series Infratech heaters can be easily flush mounted using Infratech's recess kit (sold separately). W/WD series Infratech heaters are the best choice for recessed installations.
