Grand Canyon requires its GFRC fire tables to be covered whenever they are not in use. Water moving through concrete leaves a white mineral bloom on the surface, called efflorescence, and the cover is what stops it. This is the Athena cover made for the Olympus line, sized to each table.

A Cover Is Not Freeze Protection

In cold climates, Grand Canyon says to keep the table as dry as possible and drain any water before a freeze. A cover helps, but on its own it will not stop freeze damage.
