The Amantii TRU-VIEW XL 50-Inch is a three-way-view electric fireplace for recessing into a wall, its glass wrapping the front and both ends so it can be enjoyed from three directions. It is a natural fit for a peninsula wall or room divider, in the house or on a roofed patio, and the flame can run with the heat off.

Three Layouts From One Fireplace

Leave both ends open for a bay, close one for a corner, or close both for a front-facing fireplace that is 14 1/4 inches deep. The choice comes from how the wall is framed, so decide before the studs go up.

Hardwire to 240V for Roughly Twice the Heat

It plugs into 120V for about 5,000 BTU. Amantii notes that the 50-inch and larger TRU-VIEW XL models produce extra heat on 240V; hardwired, this one reaches up to about 10,000 BTU.

Best Between a Kitchen and a Living Room

About 53 inches wide, it suits the half-wall between an open kitchen and living area, where people see it from both sides. The finished wall must sit flush to its lip, since no trim is supplied.
