A Linear Smart Fireplace That Flush Mounts or Recesses Fully, Depending on the Wall Finish

The Dynasty Allegro is a linear electric fireplace with two ways in: flush mounted, where its frame sits on a flat finished wall, or built in, where the whole unit recesses so a thick, uneven or textured finish can be built around it. It plugs into a standard 120-volt outlet or can be hardwired, needs no venting, and runs from its remote, the Dynasty app, Alexa, Google Home or Control4.

Best for Stacked Stone, Brick or Textured Tile Walls

The fully recessed option is what sets the Allegro apart. On a stacked stone or textured tile wall a surface-mounted frame would sit on an uneven face, while the recessed install lets the finish wrap the opening. The heater faces forward, so it also works under a wall-mounted television, and Dynasty lists it for restaurants and lounges as well as homes.

The Framing Is 19 1/8 Inches High and 8 Inches Deep on Every Width

Only the width changes with the model. Eight inches is well past the 5 1/2 inches a 2x6 wall gives you, so plan to build the wall out before the opening is cut, and check the framing width for your size in the specifications on this page.

Red, White and Yellow Flames With a Separate Warm or White Top Light

The flame mixes red, white and yellow at adjustable intensities, the bed underneath has its own colors, and a top light shines warm or white at its own brightness. A log set and crystal media both come in the box. The flame works with or without heat, and the 68-inch model draws only 32 watts with the heater off. On heat, Dynasty rates it at about 5,000 BTU and 400 square feet, with a thermostat from 60 to 82°F.

How the Allegro Differs From the Dynasty Cascade

Both are Dynasty linear smart fireplaces with the same rated heat. The Allegro uses white in its flame and adds a top light where the Cascade mixes in blue, and only the Allegro offers the fully recessed install for textured walls. The Cascade frames into a shallower 6-inch opening, so if wall depth is tight, it is the easier fit.

Decide Between Plug-In and Hardwired Before the Wall Closes

The Allegro ships with a 72-inch cord and a standard plug, and Dynasty lists it as hard-wire compatible. On a finished stone wall, hardwiring is the tidier choice because there is no plug to reach later. At full heat it draws about 12.5 amps, so keep other heavy appliances off the circuit.
