No. The Tangled model is itself the working gas burner. It replaces a compatible existing burner so that the flame emerges throughout the sculptural stainless steel form rather than from a separate burner hidden underneath.

What is the practical difference between the 24-inch and 30-inch versions?

The 30-inch model provides a wider flame presentation and a higher maximum output. The 24-inch OPT-TNG24 is rated at 80,000 BTU, while the 30-inch OPT-TNG30 is rated at 100,000 BTU, so the larger option also requires a gas supply sized for the additional demand.

Can I use this burner in an existing outdoor fire feature?

Potentially, provided the enclosure is designed for a vented gas burner and has sufficient room, ventilation, fuel capacity, and clearance for the selected Tangled model. Existing burner dimensions alone should not be used to determine compatibility.

Why is the gas inlet raised on this burner?

The raised connection helps position the gas entry point above areas where moisture may collect inside an outdoor fire feature. This design can reduce the chance of water entering the gas line, although proper drainage and weather protection are still required.

Can decorative fire media be used around the Tangled Burner?
