The Dimplex Opti-Myst 500 is a built-in water vapor fireplace that uses ultrasonic mist and LED lighting to create realistic 3-D flames without heat or emissions.

Modern Fireplace Design Without Venting Restrictions

The Dimplex Opti-Myst 500 is designed for custom residential and commercial installations where traditional gas or wood fireplaces may not be practical. Because it operates using water and electricity, there is no venting, gas line, or chimney required. The clean installation allows designers and homeowners to create dramatic linear fireplace features in places where conventional fireplaces cannot go.

Its compact 20-inch cassette design also gives you the flexibility to install a single unit or connect multiple cassettes together for longer custom fireplace installations. This makes the Opti-Myst 500 ideal for modern media walls, hotel lobbies, restaurants, and open-concept living spaces.

Realistic Flames Powered by Water Vapor Technology

The Opti-Myst flame effect combines water vapor with LED lighting to create an incredibly lifelike flame and smoke appearance. Unlike traditional electric fireplaces, the flames have true depth and movement that can be viewed from multiple angles.

The CDFI500-PRO-RGB model includes adjustable RGB flame lighting with five flame color options including orange, blue, violet, red, and aquamarine. The standard CDFI500-PRO model features a realistic natural flame appearance for a more traditional look.

Because the flames are created with cool water vapor, the fireplace remains cool to the touch, making it suitable for homes with children and pets as well as commercial spaces.

Flexible Installation for Custom Fireplace Projects

The Opti-Myst 500 is designed for drop-in and built-in installations. It can be directly wired to a 120-volt circuit for a seamless built-in appearance, or paired with an optional plug kit when hardwiring is not preferred.

Multiple cassettes can be connected together to create extended linear fireplace designs. Each cassette includes a plumbing connection kit option for continuous water supply installations, helping simplify maintenance in larger projects.

The included media tray supports custom decorative materials such as glass, rocks, driftwood, or decorative logs, allowing you to personalize the fireplace appearance while maintaining proper vapor performance.

Smart Controls and Low-Maintenance Operation

The included remote control allows you to easily operate flame settings and adjust multiple connected cassettes simultaneously. The RGB version also offers adjustable flame colors and intensity levels for additional customization.

An easy-fill water tank provides up to 8 hours of continuous operation before refilling is needed. LED lighting technology delivers efficient operation while eliminating the need for bulb replacements. The fireplace also includes realistic crackling sound effects for a more immersive experience.
