The Amantii Panorama DEEP 88-Inch is the largest built-in electric fireplace in the DEEP series, one long run of fire behind a single pane of glass. It recesses into the wall the way a masonry firebox would, and because the box is deep, the logs sit in front of the flame rather than pressed against it. Indoors or on a roofed patio, it can be enjoyed as pure ambiance or as a heater.

A Box Deep Enough to Layer the Media

About a foot of depth is what separates the DEEP from slimmer linear units. It ships with ICE media and an 11-piece log set, and the extra room lets you stack them so the fire has a foreground and a background. Across 88 inches, that layering is what keeps a long fire from looking like a stripe of light.

One Long Opening, No Frame Needed

The glass runs almost the full width, and the wall finish can come straight up to it, so the fire reads as an opening in the wall rather than an appliance hung on it. The included black steel surround is there if you prefer a defined edge. Heat leaves from the top, where the tilted glass sends it down the face, so there is no grille to design around.

Best for Great Rooms and Long Outdoor Walls

This is the size for a wall that would swallow a smaller fireplace: a great room, a long media wall, or an outdoor kitchen under a roof. Heat stays at about 5,000 BTU whatever the width, so on a fireplace this big you are buying presence, not extra warmth.

Plan for Nearly 200 Pounds Before Framing

• Weight and width: at close to 200 pounds and almost 89 inches across, it needs a framed opening built to carry it and two people to set it. Build the opening to the manual's rough-opening figures.
• Electrical: a standard 120V plug on a 76-inch cord exiting the left side, or a hardwired connection if you want nothing visible.
• Outside: Amantii requires an overhang and the Panorama outdoor cover.

Worth adding: designer media kits for birch, driftwood or split logs, or decorative fire glass to change the color of the bed.
