The First Holographic Fireplace We Have Carried
The Flamerite E-Ridium Series is a built-in electric fireplace that arrives as a three-sided unit and converts to a corner or single-sided installation using the side panels in the box. Its flame comes from Flamerite's Visual-X system rather than the LED-behind-a-screen approach nearly every other electric fireplace uses, and that is what the holographic name refers to.
What Visual-X Does That a Standard LED Flame Does Not
Most electric fireplaces light a physical flame ribbon from below, which is why they look convincing head-on and flatten out from the side. Visual-X builds the flame on a display instead, so it holds its depth across the room and across all three faces of a three-sided install. Three flame effects let you change the presentation, and a glowing log and ember bed sit in front of the display to give the fire something to read against.
This is the reason the E-Ridium costs several times what a conventional linear electric fireplace does. You are buying the flame, not the heat.
It Ships Three-Sided and Converts With the Panels in the Box

Every E-Ridium arrives as a three-sided unit with its fire media, and the included side panels convert it to a corner or a single-sided configuration. That choice happens at installation rather than at order, so a change of plan on site does not mean a change of product.
The viewable opening is 60 inches wide on the 1500 and 72 inches on the 1800, both 15 1/4 inches tall. The body stands 24 inches high and runs 20 7/8 inches deep, so this is a purpose-framed cavity rather than something that slips into a 2x6 wall.
5,115 BTU on a Standard 15 Amp Circuit
Flamerite rates the E-Ridium at 1,500 watts, which is 5,115 BTU per hour, on a 15 amp 120 volt circuit. That is the same supplemental output as almost any 1,500 watt electric fireplace, so treat the heat as a bonus rather than a reason to choose it. The heater is hidden behind the fascia to keep the front clean, and the flame runs with the heater off for year-round use.
It plugs into a standard outlet, or hardwires where the installation calls for a permanent connection. Either way it wants a dedicated 15 amp circuit.
Plan the Light Before You Frame the Wall
The flame is at its best in a room with low ambient light. Flamerite says so directly in the installation manual, and warns that a bright room can produce reflections that weaken the effect. If this wall faces a large window or sits under strong downlights, think about where the fireplace goes and how the room is lit at the time of day you will actually use it. On a product bought for its flame, this is the single thing most likely to disappoint if it is ignored.
Mounting height matters more than usual. The manual asks you to set the height so the viewing area sits where people will actually be looking from, measured to the bottom of the flame opening. Sitting height in a lounge and standing height in an entry are different answers.
Build the opening to Flamerite's framing dimensions, not to the fireplace measurements, and have the electrical run before the wall closes up. Professional installation is recommended for built-in work and for any hardwired connection.
